Methodological issues in health research

Convenor:
Raj Gururajan

Synopsis:
There is an increasing recognition of the contribution of social science research to the study of health and well-being, and a well-established research tradition to support it. Health research draws on a wide of social science disciplines and on the full gamut of social science methodologies. These stream welcomes papers that add to our understanding of the contribution that empirical social science research can make to health research and the challenges that confront the social science researcher in this field. Authors are encouraged to submit papers that report on applications of social science methodology to health issues, novel methodological approaches and the demands of researching health dimensions of people, families, communities and organisations.
